Here’s what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the “Mad Money Lightning Round” Friday evening:
Covance (CVD) : It’s “the arms provider to biotech and pharma. Yeah, they do the tests,” Cramer said. “Two thumbs up, way up.”
JetBlue (JBLU) : “I like Continental (CAL) more.”
Walgreen (WAG) : “When Walgreen’s went to 40,” Cramer was saying to swap out of the Wal-Mart (WMT) . “At 46, I’m not as strong on Walgreen.” Cramer does like Rite Aid (RAD) , which he finds more attractive after an analyst downgrade.
Bare Escentuals (BARE) : “Ixnay on your Barenay.” Cramer prefers International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) .”
Sky Financial (SKYF) : “Ring the register … I am going to suggest you buy JPMorgan (JPM) ” or Capital One Financial (COF) , which Cramer owns for his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
Western Refining (WNR) : “I do not like the refining stocks this quarter. … I am not going to pull the trigger just yet on any refining company.”
Electronic Arts (ERTS) : “I don’t trust ERTS here. Mid-40s, only then, pull the trigger. Activision (ATVI) , good trade by Cramer.”
Corning (GLW) : “I’m stuck with Corning. … If you want to be in fiber, you go LVLT (Level 3 (LVLT) .” If you want to be in big-screen TVs, it’s Best Buy (BBY) , Cramer said.
FairPoint Communications (FRP) : “I am such in the end an AT&T (T) man. So swap out of the FairPoint and go into AT&T.”
Toyota Motor ™ : “I’m not backing away, because they make good cars.” Cramer owns it for his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
“Blockbuster (BBI) is a keeper.”
